The Flimwell Papers

A very random collection of stuff that washes up on this writer's shore; the flotsam and jetsam of the internet. I admire others who have set out with theme or considered a byline....this is just where I show my collection of found and discovered likes and loves!

I Can’t Let Go ~ The Hollies

This is my “lucky penny” song! And by that I mean it’s there to fix my swag, to shine when the rest of the world is crap….it’s got a lot to do with Graham Nash’s soaring tenor which Sir Paul McCartney gave the thumbs up but thought those were a trumpet.  I Can’t Let Go” is The Hollies’ first 1966 single and though it charted well for them in the U.K. which is where I was when it was released it didn’t dent the Top Ten in the U.S. of A. unlike their next single ‘Bus Stop’!  Hope it brings some sparkle to your day wherever you are on the Blue Marble tjhis day —- It’s the All Things Revisited Thursday selection of the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner.  Peace out y’all!
