Ruby Soho ~ Jimmy Cliff

 Ivanhoe Martin lives…and with a fire in his belly too!  After catching the whole new album, Rebirth, from Jimmy I was pleased…sometimes a new album by one of my old heroes of music turns out to be not only disappointing turn but it will tarnish the good I remember.  So I  approached this one with a long stick thingy….but hell damn Jimmy steals on in and nails you with a great turn on this cover of a Rancid track from the ‘90’s!  Give the whole album a listen and you hear Jimmy at almost 70 hitting the mark at each turn and still making fire at the old enemies too.  It’s the Fresh Out of the Box Friday selection from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner!
