Got To Give It Up (Part I) ~ Marvin Gaye

Just a might fine Soul tune and not played very often on the Soul and R’n’B pages! I like it when folks pick this one on their tunes of a lifetime or their desert isle discs set because it points to an eclectic taste by avoiding the obvious “What’s Goin’ On” — now the obvious can be a real treat too but I foster the eclectic it promotes diverse musical DNA — it’s also a tune that my Darlin’ Nicci picked for her desert isle disc set and which she sent to me when we courted virtually!   Enough said, this makes the Saturday Got Soul selection from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner so very easy….Bugalú all my children!
