Auld Lang Syne ~ John Fahey
Well, personally, I’m with Lizzie Windsor: as this year has, indeed, been an annus horribilis. The last few months, since my incarceration and then escape from the medicos, have been both hectic, stressful, heart wrenching at times but mostly positive. This last half of the year though has been hard than sandpaper on blistered skin…so in a completely friviolous musical moment I bought a French pressing of this old John Fahey chestnutt…hope it goes down ok…. and send this syrupy seasonal fave along to all of you….I know I know but New Years is a time for oldie kitch and cliches… Now, the “teenies” or the “tweenies”, or whatever the media decides we call the next decade, starts tommorrow and regular life for must of humuns will resume on Monday 4th January.
