The Flimwell Papers

A very random collection of stuff that washes up on this writer's shore; the flotsam and jetsam of the internet. I admire others who have set out with theme or considered a byline....this is just where I show my collection of found and discovered likes and loves!

Body Heat (Main Theme) ~ John Barry

One of my favourite soundtrack’s is John Barry Walkabout without a doubt, but he’s created so many, and so many beautiful ones that seem to slip below the radar. Body Heat is a really great soundtrack. I remember ducking into a small theatre on a hot, sultry summer’s eve  watching the film very late at night on ITV in the long, hot summer ‘85 in a second run theatre in New Orleans. I was there to drink fifth of bourbon, as I was hooked pretty bad then, and use the air-con but the movie hit home.  So many great performances, folks forget Ted Danson is it too, and I was smitten by Kathleen Turner like a million others.  But what stayed too was the taunt, sultry and sensual soundtrack by John Barry.  So it’s Soundtrack Sunday the back drop over lives selection from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner.  Hope you enjoy and may the best week be in front of you now, peace y’all.
