Try A Little Tenderness ~ Otis Redding

I remember coming back from visiting cousins in Europe with an Otis record tucked away in my suitcase.  The folks around my patch hadn’t even heard of him.  I played the vinyl for a friend of the family who ran a radio station in Montreal and he flipped!  Later that week Otis was on the airwaves.  Canada was a pretty “white” place musically in those days!  I remember someone saying at a party that this young singer Otis Redding had toppled FRANK from the Playboy Music Poll chart as top American vocalist but just who is he and what does he sing…..classic tune this and always warms my heart to know that even now Otis is still played over the airwaves and the mojo wire.  It’s the Saturday Got Soul Classics from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner!   Love, peace and super hugs to y’all as I mend yet again……
