Hey Jude ~ Wilson Pickett

Well, kids and kidders, when this was released I wasn’t a huge fan…but over the years I have changed my mind — done a 180 in fact..or is that a 90…never mind!  Wilson owns the wailin’, welpin’ scorching vocals here they are doing Lennon/McCartney lyrics super justice.  It was in a recent interview I read that Sir Paul was explaining how as a songwriting team he and John were always looking to write a perfect “Soul” tune.  Well, I don’t know that would be but this here song is certainly close when The Wicked One gives it his all!  So it’s the Saturday Got Soul selection from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner!
